    Hi Kate,

You may be able to it depends which State you move to. From my
experience Queensland is the hardest State to get registered
in. I know... it is crazy that each State is separate and
    requires a separate registration.

I moved from NZ to NSW and got registered, it took a few
months though and I had to do a overseas trained teachers
course which took a few weeks. They have a new system to
track teachers called "New Scheme Teachers" which is what you
do once you've got your teaching number, it is like going
through the NZ teaching registration process. Keep in mind
that it is an ongoing process throughout your teaching life.

I'm trying to see where they are at with establishing a
National Teaching Registration so teachers can freely work
    between states.

    Good luck!

    Lis
